Atta Kathi is an upcoming romantic movie directed by Pa. Ranjith, a former associate of Venkat Prabhu & produced by G. V. Kumar of Thiru Kumaran Entertainment.

Dinesh, who played supporting roles in Adukalam and Mouna Guru, bags the lead role in Atta Kathi. Newcomers Swetha, Sophi, Shali and Ishwarya are the female leads of the movie.

Atta Kathi is all about a youngster who imagines a dummy sword to be a sharp, real one! Director Ranjith says that Atta Kathi will showcase the lives of people living in the suburban areas of Chennai in a realistic manner.

Popular Tamil music band La pongal fame Santhosh Narayan, who made his debut in the Award winning Telugu movie Advaitham, has composed the music for Atta Kathi. Pramod Varma handles the camera while the Editing is done by Leo John Paul. T. Ramalingam, a former associate of Rajeevan, has done the art direction. Lyrics are penned by Kabilan, Muthamizhan & Gaana Bala.

Atta Kathi is expected to hit the screens in January, 2012.
